Prepare your space. Set up your laptop in a quiet, comfortable space with minimal distractions. Close all other programs and/or browser windows. Make sure you are connected to reliable source of power and have a secure web connection via Ethernet cable or wifi. No distractions.
Log in at least 5 minutes early, in case of any technical issues that need troubleshooting.
Read any notes or instructions carefully before proceeding to lesson plans, activities, assignments or quizzes. The instructions will typically tell you what you need to focus on and provide an approximate time frame for completion.
Wait for pages to fully load in your browser window before taking any action. Only fully loaded pages will correctly display all information.
Save your work often! Click on the Save button in whatever program you are working in every 10 minutes or more often to ensure no work is lost.
Share your work with your instructor only, unless otherwise instructed. Sharing your work with others is a violation of the Ryon College Academic Honesty policy and is expressly prohibited.
Troubleshooting: If you encounter a technical issue, contact your instructor right away with the following information: a description of what happened, what you were doing just before you encountered the problem, any steps you took to fix the problem, and any error messages you saw pop up on the screen.
